STEP 5

Integration

Disclaimer: Psychedelics are potentially illegal substances, and we do not encourage or condone the use of any compound where it is against the law. However, we accept that illegal drug use occurs and believe that offering responsible harm reduction information is imperative to keeping people safe. For that reason, this guide is designed to ensure the safety of those who decide to use them.

Introduction

This guide begins with a section that guides microdosers to set an intention.

Just like psychedelics alone do not cause transformation, neither do intentions.

The integration process is the most critical piece of a successful microdosing practice because it brings an intention to manifest in the physical.

People drop off from their microdosing practice because they don’t know how or choose not to integrate.

Methods for Integration

To integrate a microdosing practice is to take the insights and lessons of an experience and reflect on them daily.

There are various ways to integrate these lessons, including journaling, daily practices, and taking breaks.

Journaling

Committing to a journaling practice encourages reflection with prompts and holds microdosers accountable for actually integrating their microdosing experience.

A new perspective becomes a way of being through repetition and getting thoughts and experiences onto paper.

Prompts

Whether independently created, found online, or already included in the journal, journaling prompts add immense value to any microdosoing protocol.

Prompts help guide microdosers to reflect on things they may not have considered. These can stand as a question, quote, or statement that has the individual describe an experience or feeling.

Daily Practices

Journaling is just one of the many daily practices implemented into a microdosing protocol. It is most effective to start with one and add on as the first practice becomes a habit.

Habits can take a month or longer to form, so consider implementing practices over the long run, knowing they will provide lasting change.

Daily practice will often support the microdosing intention. For example, if the purpose is to feel healthier in the body, then the practice might be to develop a walking routine starting with five minutes and increasing over time.

Other practices include, but are not limited to, meditating, yoga, lifting weights, supplementing, working on a creative project, and tracking cycles (like hunger or menstrual cycles).

Conclusion

If the intention is the key, integration is the lock.

Integration is the most critical step to creating a successful microdosing protocol. Integration is leveling up and moving beyond the default mode.
